Look who is finally finished!! A floral arrangement painting I am so proud of. 🌸 My friend @bethanyjoy5 commissioned this piece with her family’s birth flowers and a peony for her late father. I honestly couldn’t love it more and I’m thankful she let me take SO LONG on it (Sorry Bethany!!) because it kept taking on a new life every time I sat down with it. This piece started as play… with layers of petals and neon gouache paint strokes… and became one of my favorites. A lot of times that’s how it goes - when I’m creating just for the sake of fun, and not the result, I tend to love the outcome. Painting is my play - what is yours?
